I don't know how many people are still watching me but I'm back after a few years (I think it's been a few years.) from not posting. Long story short, cosplay is on hiatus as we focused on adding to our family. As of December, after two losses, we welcomed a son. I'm now a mom of two. I've recently picked up watercolor painting which I'll be posting on here very soon. We plan on doing a family cosplay with our 3 year-old daughter soon, Frozen lovers, I think you'll enjoy my ideas for our first family cosplay. But that won't be for a bit. Obviously having a almost 2 month old and a toddler keeps me busy. As does debt and bills. I'm a stay at home mom as of now (which is amazing but lots of work.) so cosplay has been on the back burner. It'll take a while to complete saving for the project I have in mind. The past two years have been tough as we tried for another baby. I won't go into details but depression kept me from sewing. I'm excited to jump back into the world of cosplay and to pick up some of my old favorite hobbies that go with it (beading and embroidery.)
So I promise there will be more activity soon. I'll be going through my followed list and groups and unfortantly be leaving some as my tastes have changed. I'll be focusing only on watercolor and cosplay for a while. I'll also be deleting old works and refreshing my profile to make it suit who I am now as a person and as an artist.
My husband has a degree in video game graphics and art design (whatever it's called, I have major baby brain!) and we are currently planning on a comic series! I'll be posting progress of that too later on. It's based off a novel I wrote waaaay back in high school that doesn't fit in the current book market so I agreed to let my husband draw it into a comic. I'll be painting and coloring some of the pages as well as writing the comic. He'll be doing the rest. I'm very excited to see it come to life. Right now we're in the VERY early stages of getting it ready. My husband just decided on a art style he enjoys drawing and that suits the story and vibe I've pictured. I cannot wait to show you the first character sketches!
As far as writing goes, I am toying with the novel I've been working on for the past 12 years. Still has some work to do, time isn't on my side. I really need to focus more on it. Anyway, I'll be posting my first few practice projects of watercolor soon. So thanks for sticking around or goodbye if you have decided to leave. It should be a fun year full of art!
